Welcome to What’s Blooming Now. This site was created to help identify wildflowers in Tennessee and the surrounding states. While I am an amateur botanist, I am a professional photographer, and I hope you will enjoy this site just for the pretty pictures.

A lot of my pictures, both wildflowers and scenery, come from the beautiful Tennessee State Parks. Also, many come from my land, Sycamore Ridge, where I have created a 20-acre natural prairie with the help of grants from the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS)

There are two ways to search this site. One way is to search by category. Just click in the box below to see the categories and the number of posts that match that category.

You can also search by keywords such as purple, celandine, milkvine, and American, just to name a few. Any word that I may have used in the description of this plant. Be careful, yellow will return a LOT of posts.

If you like the posts you see here, just enter your e-mail address below and you will be notified whenever there is a new post! I will never share your email, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Happy Trails… George!
